Sorry annoncerer albummet Anywhere But Here - ude d. 7/10

Den London-baserede duo, Sorry, annoncerer i dag deres andet album Anywhere But Here, som udkommer d. 7. oktober på Domino / Playground Music.

Om singlen fortæller Sorry, “It’s a fun love song for the club. A bittersweet track for us. It kinda touches on how you want to be honest and say things directly, but in the end that can also ruin them. If you’ve got a light don’t let it go out… sometimes you have to leave things behind but it’s hard to do.” 
 
Medlemmerne Asha og Louis har lavet musik sammen siden de var teenagere, og blev senere en del af Brixton Windmill scenen, hvor de spillede med bl.a. Shame, Black Midi og Goal Girl. De udgav deres første album 925 i marts 2020 som var produceret af Lana Del Rey og Gorillaz samarbejdspartneren James Dring. 

Anywhere But Here er produceret af Sorry selv, samt med hjælp fra Ali Chant og Adrian Utley fra Portishead. Albummet er en hyldest til 1970’ernes klassiske sangskrivere som Carly Simon og Randy Newman blandet med guitar der ekkoer tidlige 90’er bands som Slint og Tortoise, samt beats fra Kanye eller Capital Steez. 

Om albummet fortæller Asha, “We approached the album differently from the first one, it was more of a live band process and the outcome has made it feel rawer and more sincere… we think. (…) Everyone started to feel a bit alien in the last couple years with all that’s happened. It’s kind of weird being from London, growing up here, like anyone who’s been in the same place for ages. How all the landmarks, places, even people are the same, but it still feels different. I think we want things to change, or we think they will, but it kind of just happens again but in a different way.”
