Swans annoncerer nyt album – “The Glowing Man”

Swans, med Michael Gira i spidsen, blev dannet i 1982 og har netop annonceret detaljer om deres nye album “The Glowing Man”. Albummet udkommer den 17. juni 2016 på Mute / Playground Music. “The Glowing Man” er indspillet i Sonic Ranch tæt på El Paso, Texas med John Congleton.  Lyt til et uddrag af albummet her:

I forbindelse med udgivelsen af albummet fortæller Michael Gira samtidig, at dette album er det sidste Swans album med denne band konstellation. Om dette fortæller Gira ’’Whatever the force is that has led us through this extended excursion, it’s been worthwhile for many of us, and I’m grateful for what has been the most consistently challenging and fulfilling period of my musical life. Going forward, post the touring associated with The Glowing Man, I’ll continue to make music under the name Swans, with a revolving cast of collaborators. I have little idea what shape the sound will take, which is a good thing.”
 
I forbindelse med det nye album tager Swans på en omfattende turné der begynder i Nord Amerika og før de senere vender tilbage til Europa til efteråret.
