Blood Orange udgiver de første to sange og videoer fra kommende album
I dag udgiver producer, multiinstrumentalist, komponist, sangskriver og sanger Devonté Hynes de første to sange, med tilhørende musikvideoer, fra sit kommende, fjerde album som Blood Orange. ”Negro Swan” udkommer den 24. august 2018.
Videoen til ”Jewelry” er instrueret af Hynes selv og de medvirkende tæller blandt andet Janet Mock, Kai the Black Angel og Ian Isiah. Videoen til ”Charcoal Baby” er instrueret af Crack Stevens.

Om det kommende album, der er skrevet og produceret af Hynes, fortæller han:
“My newest album is an exploration into my own and many types of black depression, an honest look at the corners of black existence, and the ongoing anxieties of queer/people of color. A reach back into childhood and modern traumas, and the things we do to get through it all. The underlying thread through each piece on the album is the idea of HOPE, and the lights we can try to turn on within ourselves with a hopefully positive outcome of helping others out of their darkness.”
Som support for det kommende album tager Blood Orange på turné hvor han blandt andet gæster Danmark, hvor han spiller i Den Grå Hal den 8. november 2018.
