Bon Iver’s nye album i,i udsendes digitalt i aften- Ude fysisk d. 30. august -
I nat udsender Bon Iver sit fjerde studiealbum i,i digitalt på Jagjaguwar / Playground Music i Norden. Efter gårsdagens intime lyttesessions på albummet verden over, vil der i dag - startende fra kl. 10:00 - løbende blive offentliggjort et nyt nummer fra pladen hver time. Det hele kulminerer så med, at det fulde album vil være tilgængeligt senere i aften/nat.
Albummet er optaget i Sonic Ranch studiet i Texas og April Base studiet i Wisconsin. Bandet til i,i sessionerne har været Sean Carey, Andrew Fitzpatrick, Mike Lewis, Matt McCaughan, Rob Moose, Jenn Wasner og Justin Vernon. Derudover har der været bidrag fra James Blake, Brad og Phil Cook, Aaron og Bryce Dessner, Bruce Hornsby, Channy Leaneagh, Naeem, Velvet Negroni, Marta Salogni, Francis Starlite, Moses Sumney, TU Dance og mange flere.
Allerede i juni kunne den første lyd fra i,i høres med ’Hey, Ma’ og ’U (Man Like)’. Senere blev sangene ’Jelmore’ og ’Faith’ offentliggjort.
Om albummet fortæller Justin Vernon:
“It feels very much like the most adult record, the most complete. It feels like when you get through all this life, when the sun starts to set, and what happens is you start gaining perspective. And then you can put that perspective into more honest, generous work.”
