FKA TWIGS UDGIVER NYT ALBUM - MAGDALENE ER UDE D. 25. OKTOBER
Efter lang tid med rygter og spekulationer kan FKA Twigs nu endelig meddele at hendes længeventede, andet album Magdalene udkommer den 25. oktober 2019 på Young Turks / Playground Music i Norden. Vi kan forvente os et innovativt album, hvor FKA Twigs indtager et helt nyt musikalsk univers.
Albummet markerer en kraftfuld tilbagevenden for FKA Twigs – en tiltrængt revanche efter at have gået igennem både en hård pause og en operation.
Magdalene er produceret af FKA Twigs selv og ligesom på første album LP1, har hun været inde over hvert eneste trin i processen selv. Albummet indeholder medvirken fra flere artister og producenter, blandt andet Nicholas Jaar.
I går aftes udgav FKA Twigs sin anden single fra det kommende album, ’holy terrain feat. Future’.
Den nye single følger op på den smukke, tidligere single ’Cellophane’ og kan høres her.
FKA Twigs forklarer albumprocessen:
“I never thought heartbreak could be so all-encompassing.
I never thought that my body could stop working to the point that I couldn’t express myself physically in the ways that I have always loved and found so much solace.
I have always practiced my way into being the best I could be, but I couldn’t do that this time, I was left with no option but to tear every process down.
But the process of making this album has allowed me for the first time, and in the most real way, to find compassion when I have been at my most ungraceful, confused and fractured. I stopped judging myself and at that moment found hope in ‘Magdalene’. To her I am forever grateful”
