Tycho annoncerer nyt album inden dansk koncert - Simulcast ude d. 28. februar
Efter at have udgivet det GRAMMY-nominerede album Weather sidste år, er Tycho nu tilbage med annonceringen af deres nyeste album Simulcast, som udkommer den 28. februar på Mom + Pop x Ninja Tune / Playground Music i Norden.
Simulcast indeholder nye instrumentale genindspilninger af sangene fra Weather, der tidligere havde vokal fra sanger og sangskriver Saint Sinner. Tycho har taget essensen af de originale sange og indspillet nye, alternative versioner, for at skabe nyt materiale af de allerede populære sange.

Om det kommende album fortæller Scott Hansen fra Tycho:
"A Simulcast is the transmission of a program across different mediums and in different languages. With these two albums I wanted to present the same ideas in two languages, one more literal and the other more open to interpretation. Simulcast expands on the concepts laid out in Weather but shifts into the abstract with instrumental soundscapes in place of lyrics, opening up a visual space and translating the message into a new language.”
Førstesinglen ‘Outer Sunset’, som udkommer sammen med annonceringen af albummet, er opkaldt efter det strand-fællesskab i San Francisco, hvor Scott Hansen brugte meget af sin tid under indspilningen af albummet.

Weather, der er tilgængeligt nu på Mom + Pop x Ninja Tune / Playground Music i Norden, blev for nyligt nomineret til en prestigefyldt GRAMMY Award i kategorien ‘Bast Dance/Electronic Album’. Dette markerer Tychos anden GRAMMY Award-nominering - tidligere har albummet Epoch modtaget en nominering.
Til februar drager Tycho på en omfattende 202-turné, der bringer bandet til 16 forskelige lande verden over. Det er heldigvis også blevet til en dansk koncert - Tycho spiller nemlig i Store Vega i København den 11. februar 2020.
Med sig på turné har Tycho bandet bestående af Zac Brown (bas, guitar), Rory O’Connor (trommer), Billy Kim (keyboard, guitar, bas) samt Saint Sinner (aka. Hannah Cottrell) som vokalist.
