Wild Beasts udgiver nyt album den 5. august
Wild Beasts har netop annonceret udgivelsen af deres nye album ”Boy King”. Albummet udkommer den 5. august på Domino / Playground Music. Første single fra albummet hedder ’Get My Bang’ og den bliver sendt af sted sammen med en instrueret af Olivier Groulx (Arcade Fire, alt-J, Scott Walker). Videoen er filmet I Beograd og kan ses her:
Wild Beasts tager I forbindelse med det nye album på Europa- og Englandsturné til juni hvor de blandt andet gæster Pumpehuset i København den 18. oktober.
Om sangene på ”Boy King fortæller forsanger Hayden Thorpe: “It became apparent that that guitar almost became the character within the songs, that phallic character, the all-conquering male. I'm letting my inner Byron fully out, I thought I'd tucked him away, but he came screaming back like the Incredible Hulk." Skitserne til albummet blev skabt i bandets øvelokale i Østlondon, men selve studieindspilningen er lavet i Dallas, Texas med producer John Cogleton (St. Vincent, Swans, The War on Drugs) bag knapperne.
