Sampha udsender VR video til ‘(No One Knows Me) Like The Piano’ - skabt i samarbejde med Youtube
Sampha har netop udsendt en video til sin nye single ‘(No One Knows Me) Like The Piano’. Videoen er instruereret af Jamie-James Medina og har Sampha, samt model og aktivist, Adwoa Aboah i hovedrollerne. Den udsendes i to formater: En traditional musikvideo samt en virtual reality version, hvor seeren selv kan være virtuelt tilstede i videoen. Dette er et produkt af Sampha’s kreative og teknologiske samarbejde med Youtube.

‘(No One Knows Me) Like The Piano’ er en hyldest til klaveret i Sampha’s barndomshjem i Sydlondon. Størstedelen af hans længeventede debutalbum ’Process’ er skrevet på dette. ”Process”, som udkommer i morgen d. 3. februar, har været undervejs i en rum tid. Siden Sampha debuterede med EPen ”Sundanza” i 2010 og EPen ”Dual” fra 2013, har han stille, men sikkert, opbygget et ry som en af de mest interessante nye britiske artister. Og selvom karrieren kun har varet 7 år, har han allerede lånt sin vokal, produktioner og sangskrivning til en række markante udgivelser. Bl.a. artister som FKA twigs, Jessie Ware, SBTRKT, Drake, Kanye West og senest i år på Frank Ocean’s Endless og Solange’s A Seat At The Table. Nu er det endelig blevet Sampha’s tur til at fortælle sin historie.
Samtidig med udgivelsen af albummet, tager Sampha på en længere verdensturne, der bringer ham til både USA, Australien og rundt i Europa. Han gæster også Danmark, hvor han spiller på Store Vega den 16. marts.
