Father John Misty annoncerer sit sjette album – Mahashmashana ude d. 22/11

I dag deler Josh Tillman detaljer om sit sjette Father John Misty-album, Mahashmashana, produceret af Tillman og Drew Erickson, sammen med executive producer Jonathan Wilson. Mahashmashana udkommer d. 22. november på Bella Union / Playground Music.
 
Mahashmashana indeholder otte sange, der strækker sig over 50 minutter, og indeholder singlerne ’I Guess Time Makes Fools of Us All’, ’She Cleans Up’, ’Screamland’ og ’Josh Tillman and The Accidental Dose’. De sidste to er mixet af BJ Burton.
 
Som ledsager til album-annonceringen, udgiver Father John Misty sin nye single ’Screamland’. En 7-minutter-lang smuk sang med Alan Sparhawk fra Low på guitar og storslået strygerarrangement af Drew Erickson.

I forbindelse med sit kommende album, drager Father John Misty på turné - heldigvis med en dansk dato i blandt. Man kan derfor opleve Josh Tillman og band i Operaen på Holmen, København d. 5. april 2025.
 
’I Guess Time Just Makes Fools of Us All’ fra Mahashmashana udkom til stor ros i sidste måned, med flotte ord fra blandt andet Pitchfork (‘26 Contenders for Song of the Summer’), The Observer, NME, The New Cue, The Line Of Best Fit og Espuire (‘25 Best Songs of 2024, So Far’).
